iPhone 6PLUS > deactivate Optical Stabilizer?

iPhone 6PLUS > deactivate Optical Stabilizer?

Sep 21, 2016

Hello,

I have a question about the iPhone 6PLUS! (I currently use an old iPhone 5)

Is it possible to completely DEACTIVATE the optical Stabilizer from iPhone 6+ with an App like Filmic Pro or MAVIS etc.?

Because I don't wanna use the Stabilizer if I mount the iPhone on a tripod...

Best regards from germany,

Christian

Re: iPhone 6PLUS > deactivate Optical Stabilizer?

I have not yet researched FiLMiC Pro or Mavis, but I did recently see that the MoviePro app has a setting to disable the optical image stabilization on iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus models.

Re: iPhone 6PLUS > deactivate Optical Stabilizer?

Ok, great!

But can you maybe do a Test, if this really completely disables the Optical Image Stabilizer? (I think you can then SEE, if it's really disabled or not).

Because I found some other Forum-Postings about this, and they are not really sure, if this completely disables the OIS...

I would gladly do a test, but I actually do not yet own MoviePro, Filmic Pro, or MAVIS. I actually just began researching these apps myself.

ProCamera has a setting to turn off AIS. I've only been using ProCamera a few days but so far really like what I see, gives a lot of control to the user

You might have a different OIS problem but ProCamera did not turn my OIS off on my iPhone 6SPlus. Yes you can manually turn it off in the ProCamera app but it didn't remedy my issue. I took a chance for 8 bucks, better than spending $100 to get it fixed oh well.
